To recognise International Workers' Day why not get involved in the European campaign dedicated to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). MSDs are the most common work-related health problem in Europe; they can affect the body's muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, bones and nerves, and they damage the health of millions of European workers every year. At some point in their life up to 90% of people suffer from musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which affect the body's muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, bones and nerves. These disorders are often work-related. Health problems range from discomfort, minor aches and pains, to more serious medical conditions requiring time off work and even medical treatment. In more chronic cases, treatment and recovery are often unsatisfactory - the result could be permanent disability and loss of employment. The European Campaign 2007 organised by the Agency is dedicated to this major issue.
