EVN Macedonia registered decrease of 50% of the heavy and light injuries in work with high voltage in 2008 compared with the last year. The company says that this is result of the training for correct usage of the personal protective equipment, the increased measures of safety and health at work and the procured safety equipment according to the European standards.

Due to the work specifics, EVN Macedonia provided the employees that have contact with electrical energy with new protective suits, made from special fabrics, helmets and tools with electric isolation, and other necessary materials for safe work in area with high voltage.

EVN Macedonia opened a special training center for work with high voltage in Makedonski Brod, where the employees have special training for handling equipment under voltage.

With all these activities, EVN Macedonia fully complies with the new Law on Safety and Health at Work, adopted last year.
